"The power of ONE becomes strength for MANY"

MISSION STATEMENT

Through our unique and ambitious program we are creating an opportunity to turn potentially problematic children into competent contributing adults. We accomplish this by instilling the life skills of discipline, respect and focus indigenous to a quality martial arts system coupled with a sound behavioral management program.

WHAT WE DO

Qualified Black Belt instructors who are under the direct supervision of Jeff Speakman and Trever Sherman administer this martial art / behavioral management program. Mr. Speakman refers to this approach as contingent behavior with consequences. Our instructors travel to various locations at least twice a week to continuously work with the children in our program. These locations range from “lock down” facilities for troubled teens, orphanages, halfway houses, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and the YMCA’s.

With over 170 children in 6 locations where this program has been introduced the statistics show significant positive changes in the lives of our youths. The Champions program not only provides these children and teenagers with a positive entity to “belong to” but it also allows them to experience incremental successes as they progress through the system. Through this system of discipline and self-respect our Champions are taught to become a part of the solution, not part of the problem. With corporate donations and government assistance our non-profit 501-c3 foundation is committed to expanding this program throughout the U. S. and other countries where we are needed.

ABOUT YOUR DONATION

First money in goes directly to purchasing all the uniforms, equipment and printed material required for the participants of the program. The uniforms are complete with printed Champions logo, patches and protective gear. Equipment ranges from body shields and forearm pads to sparring gear and focus mitts wherever appropriate. Printed material encompass accumulative journals of self-defense techniques, diplomas and general information. Next money goes to paying instructors and assistant instructors for time teaching and in some cases travel expenses when needed. Then travel and accommodations for continuing education for the instructors and supervision of the program. And finally for general administration salaries and expenses. All monies are allocated in this order so that when a commitment is made to supply our services to a location the needs of the students are met first.
